Have you heard the one where the man walks into a factory to apply for job, only to be turned down because he didn't possess a valid national ID card proving his citizenship?
National ID cards - sounds a little like something Adolph Hitler did in the early stages of his rise to power. Yes, indeed dear readers; yes, indeed. And by the way, old Adolph isn't the only dictator to control his citizens through a national ID system. The Soviets did it for generations; the Chinese, N. Koreans, Cubans, and a bunch of other socialist/communist countries still do it to this day. It's a method of tracking people and controlling where they go and what they do.
And it could be coming to a state near you in the immediate future.
That's because of a bill currently working its way through the hallowed halls of Congress, a place where the benevolent members only have our best interests at heart, which will include the mandate for every American citizen to possess a national ID card in order to take and hold a job. And that's not all, folks. If this passes as it currently stands, those ID cards won't be the simple paper card like the one your Social Security number is on. Oh, no...they will be biometric cards. If you don't know what "biometric" means you should probably Google it and get up to speed. Suffice it to say, these national ID cards will contain a bunch of your vital (and personal I might add) information, along with a computer chip which will allow your movements and activities to be tracked.
This measure is part of an immigration reform bill, ostensibly to prevent illegals from taking jobs in the U.S., but c'mon....who here is really that dumb? Please..raise your hands so I can count them.
First of all, if there's one thing illegals have demonstrated so well in the last twenty years its the fact that they know how to overcome the system. Illegal aliens are by definition, illegal; and by extension, criminals. How many times does it have to be said that criminals don't obey the law? In fact, how many times do we have to watch the news or read the paper to understand that criminals know how to beat the system to get what they want? Only a fool or a willingly ignorant mental midget would believe a national ID system can prevent illegals from working.
As it is, plenty of employers already break the law by hiring illegals because the financial payoff is worth the risk. That won't change simply because we force law-abiding citizens to get ID cards. Furthermore, have you ever seen the two words "fraud" and "government" linked together in the same sentence? Are we to believe that everyone who will eventually be involved in overseeing this monstrosity will be honest enough to keep the system clean? Don't make me laugh; it hurts too much.
Folks, I hate to be alarmist but once again we're dealing with people who have a sinister motive. The heads in Washington are not morons. They know full well a national ID system won't prevent illegals from working. That's okay though, because that's not the purpose of the mandate. What they are really trying to do is put a system in place whereby Washington can exert more control over the citizenry. They won't tell you that of course, because they know you won't go for it. Instead, they disguise it under the pretense of helping to fix the immigration issue.
Care to argue with me about it? Fine. Explain to me why, if this system has such grand prospects for success, why is it necessary to come out with a new ID system when our current Social Security system would suffice? One must have a social security number to get paid in this country, so why not simply force employers to produce copies of social security cards and prosecute the ones who can't? Oh...because social security cards can be faked? So can biometric ID cards, Einstein!
The key to this fraud being passed of as immigration reform is the fact that the new ID card is computerized! It can be used not only to identify you as a citizen able to legally work, but in the future to control access to bank accounts; enroll children in schools (indoctrination centers); access health care; travel from state to state (don't think that can't happen); and any other number of things Uncle Sam wants to control.
No...if they really wanted to reform immigration they could do so without trampling on our privacy and liberty. All they need to do is build a fence on both our northern and southern borders, beef up the Coast Guard, and arm both the Guard and the Border Patrol with the weapons and authority to keep people out. But of course, we don't have the will and the stomach to protect our borders. Instead, it's just easier to make our citizens prisoners in their own country. A lot like Stalin did.
I never thought I'd live to see they day when the Land of the Free was on the verge of becoming the Land of the Complacent Prisoners. The fact remains however, that the majority if people who read this will think I'm overreacting, or that the threat isn't real, or that government would never do such a thing. But history teaches us otherwise. The march to dictatorship is generally more secure and sustainable when it is taken very slowly. That way, the citizens don't recognize what's happening to them. This is called the incremental approach. It's the approach that's been used by the left since the late 19th century. And it's working.
I wonder how long it will be before we have riots in the streets, if they ever happen at all? Unfortunately, Washington is a cheap whore that knows how to catch the eye of America. She stands in the doorway in her sexy little outfit and a sultry look of desire, beckoning her victim to come enjoy all she has to offer. Like the fool heading up the staircase, America is allowing itself to be seduced by the promises of Washington. It will continue until we are so drunk with her handouts we'll allow her to rob us blind of our freedom and skip out the back.
Don't go up the stairs, mate. See Washington for the whore she is and throw her out of the building. Stand up to your Senators and Representatives and refuse to sit and take this garbage any more. If you won't, your neighbor won't. Then no one on your street will; nor your city, county, state, or nation. My friends, change does not start at the top and work down. It starts at the bottom and works up. You and I have the responsibility to force the change or live with the consequences of letting it go. I know which choice I prefer.
